Amazing Shipping Container Transformation by the Lake

Hi everybody

We continue to discover for you. Our container house on today’s tour is from Midlothian, VA, USA.

Today, we will show you the new container house project of Rustic Global, based in Midlothian, VA, whose projects we shared earlier. You can find the project we shared before here.

The container house built on the edge of a lake (almost above) is a combination of 1 x 40FT and 1 x 20FT shipping container.

Inside the container house, there are two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom, along with a large living area. You can enjoy the magnificent nature with the roof suitable for all uses and the wonderful front deck.

Wood veneer is preferred outside the house. The front of the 20FT container on the lake side is almost entirely covered with glass. The white glass frames were striking, but if they were black, maybe it would be even more beautiful.

The interior of the house is designed in a simple but modern way. Wide living space concept is preferred. Sliding barn doors are one of the beautiful details that stand out in the interior design of the house. Wall coverings gave a very stylish look.

Containers provide the ideal combination of structural integrity and simplicity with ease of customization.

Shipping containers, unlike other cabins, can be loaded and transported, so wherever you want to place them, they won’t be too difficult for you.

Nowadays, local governments are more accepting of this modern approach to efficient design.

The space constraint issues and resulting rise in housing prices in most of the major cities across the world is driving the growth in the container houses market. Container houses make use of the old shipping containers to build their houses and require very less space compared to conventional houses, thus saving space.
