Container House Made from 28 Containers in Saigon – Vietnam

Hi everybody ?

We continue to discover for you. Our container house villa on today’s tour is from Vietnam.

Van Cong My created a unique villa using containers. My Thanh built a two-storey 500m2 villa using 28 x 20ft shipping containers. This villa is the first container house built in HCMC.

30 million VND ($ 1,600) was spent on the foundation of the villa. The manufacturer used anti-rust paints and heat-resistant wall coverings to cope with hot air.

The construction of the container house, which is 30% cheaper than traditional methods, took only 3 months to complete.

The manufacturer also emphasizes that the lifespan of container homes is about 50 years.

The initiative is owned by Company Manager architect Nguyen Cuu Long, under the management of Descon Corporation. According to Nguyen Cuu Long, building apartments, restaurants, supermarkets and more with containers will become increasingly popular worldwide.
