PV14 Luxury Container House Made with 14 Shipping Containers

Hi everybody ?

We continue to discover for you. Our container house on today’s tour is from USA.

If you have a little interest in container homes, this is probably one of the homes you see most. The house is so loved that social media has been shared thousands of times.

The site is directly across the road from White Rock Park and is on one among the very best elevations within the City of Dallas, it’s approximately 100’ above the surface of White Rock Lake, which is merely about 1,000 feet away to the southwest.

A primary goal for this house was to style & build a contemporary residence that features a unique character, responds to its specific location/orientation and employs the development technologies that are readily available, but rarely utilized in current residential construction.

With the location both highly elevated, and with its long axis aligned directly with the town street grid to the Southwest, the house was oriented to require advantage of the outstanding views across the lake, over the trees and to the town .

Primary living areas were elevated to require advantage of the views and to separate them from the road traffic activity below.
Extensive use of overhangs and porches shield windows from direct sunlight, (reducing energy costs) while still capturing natural light and not obstructing the gorgeous views.

The roof deck above is a solar screen to the insulated single-ply membrane roof below, which reduces energy costs and extends the lifetime of the roof itself.

The home is intended to precise those things from which it’s built, with concrete floors, exposed steel structure, pre-manufactured steel modules, masonry and glass as primary elements.
