Triton Off-The-Grid Container Home from South Africa

Hi everybody

We continue to discover for you. Our container house on today’s tour is from Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa.

We are back with another container house from South Africa, the recently rising star of container architecture. The Airbnb house, which we will show you today, is located in the Clarens, Free State region of South Africa.

2 x 40 ft shipping containers were used in the construction of the container house.  Its architecture is one of the most preferred models lately. Many container house models previously close to this model
we shared. If you want to look, I leave the link of a few below.

The container house is out of the electricity grid and uses gas and wood stove for solar energy, cooking and water heating for cold Clarens nights.

If we talk about the exterior design of the house, as we mentioned above, this house model is one of the most preferred models. However, the outer coating of the part between the containers is not very well chosen in our opinion. Because it feels very old when looking at the house from the outside. If a brighter or dominant color was chosen, both containers could stand out and be a more attractive house.
