Mr.Ömer (TOG tiny house owner), a symbol of minimalism, fascinates those who see this tiny house made from a rustic designed shipping container in Yakaköy, Izmir.

Container house, built in Izmir, Turkey, one of the city’s tourist attractions. The 16 m² tiny house was built by placing a 20 FT shipping container on a truck trailer.

House dimensions: Living room 5 m², Living room 6 m², Bathroom 2.50 m², Kitchen 2.50 m².

When we take a look at the container house, it is really impossible not to be impressed. We are even more impressed when we see shipping containers being used in the construction of this wonderful tiny house. Congratulations to Mr. Ömer for this magnificent design.

Let’s briefly talk about the features of the house.
The container house looks really cool. At first glance, you think you saw a tiny house on its trailer. But you are very surprised to see that the house is actually on a truck trailer.

The container house meets its hot water need from solar energy and filling tubes. The water well is drilled for the water that the container house needs, so there is no need to pay for the water.

Metal panels and pine wood veneers are used on the exterior of the house. In this way, it was ensured that the house was cool in summer and not cold in winter.

There are electric shutter systems at the entrance doors and some windows of the house.

The sitting bench on the balcony also has the feature of being a table for 4 people. In this way, you can sit comfortably by closing the table when you do not need it.

Speaking of cost issues, the 20 FT shipping container is between $1000 – $1900, depending on dents on the inside and outside. The truck trailer on which the shipping container is placed is between $2000 – $4000. If you want to make it new, it’s around $5000. The average construction cost of the container house in our article, excluding trailer, container and land, is around $10,000.
