Aaron Schnepp lived in a small town in Michigan, USA. Today we want to promote the house he designed himself and became a news item in the local area. It is a house of seven containers.
Various materials such as wood, metal and stone are used for the exterior of the container house. With its rich wood and brick decoration and large floor-to-ceiling glass windows, this house does not look like it was made of containers at first glance. The use of wood and stone patterns made this two-story house look softer. The wooden glass window panes of the shipping container house, which has a total living area of 218 m2, also made the house more special.
When you enter the room, you can see that the floor is dark brown wooden floor and the door is facing the bar next to the kitchen.
Dark wood materials are laid on the wall near the dining table to create a simple and distinctive partition for the restaurant area.
The ceiling is not decorated much in the open kitchen. The ceiling is an open plumbing system, with dark colored cabinets and white granite countertops show the homeowner’s taste.
On the wall of the living room, it still retains the blue-yellow logo of Hong Kong Florence, the second largest container rental company in the world that came with the container at the time.
The master bedroom is located on the second floor. Theme colors are mostly dark gray and purple. It is decorated with a more extravagant chandelier. The walk-in closet and the master bedroom have their own independent balcony.
The backyard of the house is surrounded by pine trees and there is a garage where two cars can be placed at the same time.
Today, there are approximately 18 million shipping containers waiting to be recycled around the world. Buying a used container starts at around $ 2,500 depending on the size and condition of the container.
