Gable Roof Container Home in Georgia-USA

Hi everybody

Today we will show you container house from Banks County, Georgia, USA.

We are here again with a house made using shipping containers. The house, which we will show you today, was completed in about 2 years with a small team of 2 people.

Host John A. Bradley and his friend Sherman Murray have done all other operations together, except for the roof, foundation and concrete flooring.

The reason why John built this house for his family was to be at least 80% self-sufficient, far from the grid, producing his own energy, food, water and housing.

John, his wife and son lived in a 4000 sq ft basement farmhouse before moving into a 1500 sq ft container home.

This home was built for a retired couple from PA.  There are two 40 ft and one 20ft containers. Approx 1500 sq ft. This is a hybrid.  The high roof of the container house gave the house an extra usable space.
