Modern Holiday Home Made with Shipping Containers in Indonesia

Hi everybody

Today we will show you container house from Lombok, Indonesia.

Hello everyone from Indonesia, where we have not shared for a long time. Today we will show you a really smartly built container house with a wonderful pool. Designed with recycled shipping containers, this house has design and creativity in every corner.

A comfortable and modern holiday home, Villa Kotak offers a central area for common activities and enough space to retreat for a personal, quiet time. In combination with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, 1 and 1/2 bathrooms (plus an additional outdoor shower), the symmetrical design ensures the best use of space, while the outdoor patio provides the best outdoor life.

Located a 7-minute walk from the beautiful Selong Belanak Beach in Indonesia’s Lombok, Villa Kotak is perfect for a family of four or one or two couples looking for a perfect getaway.

Home owners Elissa and Daniel were fascinated by glamorous beaches and warm people during their vacation in South Lombok in 2018.

After many trips to this amazing island, the couple realized that they wanted to be a part of this amazing community and decided to build a holiday home here.

In the end, the duo who built their dreams built a wonderful container house.

Combined with Daniel’s engineering background and Elissa’s love for the interior, the duo created a wonderful home. The pair has partnered with a company from local land developers and Indonesia’s leading container manufacturers.

We really loved the design of the house. Generally, we like single storey buildings that allow for more space. The pool in front of Villa Kotak and the covered space between the two containers provided a much cool look to the home.
