Today’s featured home reaffirms my belief: container homes are anything but mundane. They stand out, offering a unique aesthetic that traditional homes can’t match.

Today’s gem is located in New Braunfels, Texas. The home is built from two 40ft shipping containers on the ground floor and another 40ft container on the upper floor.
Gable Roof
Comprising three recycled 40ft containers, this home sports a daring gable roof. Not only does it shield the home from the elements, but it also accentuates the second-floor veranda, creating a perfect relaxation zone.
Wooden Veranda Encompassing the Second Floor
The first thing that catches my eye when I look at this container home from the outside is the all-encompassing wooden veranda. The external staircase might seem odd, but it’s a deliberate choice. The homeowner lives on the ground floor and plans to rent out the upper floor via Airbnb. Imagine dining here with a view!
Modern Interior Design
Stepping inside, it feels like I’ve entered a different world. The exterior had so much wood, I expected the interior to follow suit. But no, the inside is predominantly grey, and I love it. The ceiling is grey too! Simplicity is key for me, and this home nails it with its muted tones and minimalistic design.
